Chandigarh: BA Student Suffers Leg Fractures in Hostel Fall Incident
A student of Panjab University was injured after falling from the third floor of a hostel building on campus. The incident left him with fractures in both legs. He was immediately rushed to a hospital by fellow students, where he is currently undergoing treatment. The injured student has been identified as Naseeb Singh, a Bachelor of Arts (BA) student and a resident of Firozpur. According to available information, the incident occurred after he had finished his meal and was standing in the balcony outside his hostel room. During this time, he reportedly lost his balance and fell from the balcony to the ground below. Hearing his cries, other students quickly gathered at the spot. He was unable to stand and was in severe pain following the fall. Without any delay, the students took him to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, where doctors conducted an immediate medical examination. According to the doctors, Naseeb Singh has sustained fractures in both legs. However, no other serious injuries were reported, and his condition is currently stable. Timely medical attention played a crucial role in saving his life. Meanwhile, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the hostel premises to determine the exact circumstances under which the fall occurred.
