With political activities gaining momentum ahead of the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has stepped up its organisational preparations in the state. As part of its efforts to strengthen its presence in Bathinda's urban areas, District BJP President Saroop Chand Singla has announced a 20-member district core committee.

The newly formed committee includes experienced party leaders and active workers who have been assigned organisational responsibilities. Apart from Saroop Chand Singla, the members are Dayal Sohi, Parm Pal Kaur Maluka, Mohan Lal Garg, Ashok Bharti, Narinder Mittal, Raj Numberdar, Sham Lal Bansal, Gulshan Wadhwa, Vinod Binta, Vijay Singla, Rajesh Noni, Umesh Sharma, Gurjeet Mann, Kulraj Singh, Jatinder Kumar Sharma, Neeraj Jaura, Ashok Ballianwali, Naveen Singla and Darshan Singh Kotfatta.

The organisational expansion is being viewed as part of the BJP's strategy to intensify its activities in Bathinda ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Through the new committee, the party aims to improve coordination among its leaders and workers and strengthen its organisational network at the ward and booth levels.

Ahead of the elections, the BJP will also focus on expanding its reach across different wards and localities in the city, bringing new workers into the party and remaining actively engaged with residents on local issues.

Communicating the policies and welfare schemes of the Central Government to the public is also expected to remain an important part of the party's organisational activities as it prepares for the upcoming electoral contest.
