Husband Allegedly Misled Investigators
During the initial questioning, Gurinder allegedly attempted to mislead detectives about his wife’s disappearance. He reportedly claimed that Jasmine had been checking the mail outside their home when agents from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) took her into custody.
However, when investigators contacted ICE to verify the claim, the agency clarified that no such operation had taken place at the address in question.

As the investigation progressed, police found significant inconsistencies in Gurinder’s statements. Investigators also learned that the couple had been involved in a legal dispute over divorce and child custody.
Based on the evidence gathered, homicide detectives obtained arrest warrants against Gurinder. He was arrested on October 14.
Police have also executed search warrants at two residences connected to him as part of the investigation. Further inquiries into the case are ongoing.
