Seven Dead as Chartered Air Ambulance Crashes in Chatra Forest Area

A chartered aircraft operating as an air ambulance crashed in the Chatra district of Jharkhand, resulting in the death of all seven people on board. The aircraft was en route from Ranchi to Delhi when the incident occurred. According to available information, the aircraft involved in the crash was a Redbird Beechcraft King Air B90L air ambulance. It took off from Ranchi at 7:11 PM on Monday. However, contact with the aircraft was lost at around 7:34 PM. Shortly after, it crashed in the forested area of Samaria in Chatra district. The deceased have been identified as Captain Vivek Vikas Bhagat (pilot), Captain Sabrajdeep Singh (co-pilot), Sanjay Kumar (patient), Archana Devi (family member), Dhuru Kumar (family member), Vikas Kumar Gupta (doctor), and Sachin Kumar Mishra (paramedical staff). Following the incident, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has ordered an investigation into the crash. An investigation team is scheduled to reach the site at 8:00 AM today. The team will visit the and retrieve the aircraft’s black box as part of the probe to determine the cause of the crash.
