JPSC Exam Irregularities Case Reaches Supreme Court, CBI Probe Sought
The alleged irregularities and discrepancies in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examination have now reached the Supreme Court. A petition seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the examination process is scheduled to be heard by the apex court on Monday. According to the information available, the petition has been filed in the Supreme Court by petitioner Harisharan Devgan. The plea raises questions over alleged irregularities and transparency in the JPSC examination process and seeks an investigation by the central agency. The listing of the petition has drawn attention among JPSC candidates and youths in Jharkhand, who are now awaiting Monday’s hearing. The proceedings are expected to clarify how the Supreme Court views the allegations and the demand for a CBI investigation. The matter will be heard by a bench headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant. The court’s directions following the hearing will determine the next course of action in the case. At this stage, it will only become clear after the Supreme Court hearing what directions the bench issues on the petition and what position it takes regarding the demand for a CBI probe.
