Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s much-awaited film ‘King’ is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on December 24, according to an announcement by its international distribution partner, Faras Film.

The film has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Marflix Pictures and is directed by Siddharth Anand. The filmmaker has previously worked with Shah Rukh Khan on the 2023 blockbuster ‘Pathaan’.

Faras Film Chairman Golchin described Shah Rukh Khan as a global icon and said the company was proud to bring ‘King’ to audiences on the big screen.

Red Chillies Entertainment CEO Venky Mysore said Faras Film’s extensive international reach and understanding of global markets would significantly strengthen the film’s prospects worldwide.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the film features Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, along with other members of the cast.

The release of ‘King’ will mark Shah Rukh Khan’s return to the big screen after a gap of three years, as stated in the report. The actor had three theatrical releases in 2023 — ‘Pathaan’, ‘Jawan’ and ‘Dunki’ — all of which brought him back into the spotlight.
