Mohali Sends 77th, 78th and 79th Pilgrimage Buses to Sri Amritsar Sahib

Under the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme being implemented by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, three buses carrying devotees were flagged off from the Mohali Assembly constituency to Sri Amritsar Sahib on Saturday. Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh flagged off the buses from Chilla village, Dhurali and Green Enclave. Speaking to reporters on the occasion, he said that earlier two buses were being operated daily from the constituency under the pilgrimage scheme. However, due to the continuous rise in the number of devotees and increased registrations, a third bus has now been added. Kulwant Singh said that the Chief Minister Pilgrimage Scheme has received an encouraging response from people across the region. He added that the initiative not only strengthens religious faith but also promotes harmony and social unity among people. He further stated that special attention is given to the comfort of senior citizens during the journey. To ensure the safety and well-being of the pilgrims, every bus has been equipped with a doctor and a guide. The MLA informed that the three buses flagged off on Saturday were the 77th, 78th and 79th buses from the Mohali constituency under the scheme. During the pilgrimage, devotees will visit Sri Harmandir Sahib, Sri Durgiana Temple, Ram Tirath Valmiki Temple, Jallianwala Bagh and the Attari-Wagah Border. Constituency Coordinator Phool Raj Singh was also present during the flag-off ceremony. A large number of local residents and devotees attended the event at Chilla village, including Aman Singh, Santokh Singh, Kulwant Singh, Kaka Singh, Councillor Naseeb Singh Sandhu, Harinder Pal Singh, Maan Bhupinder Singh, Jarnail Singh, Dalvir Singh, Channa Singh, Gurnam Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Pritam Singh, Gurmel Singh, Sant Singh, Balvir Singh, Bhajan Singh and Khushhal Singh.
